A Day in the life

Our days are built into buckets of time where flexibility reigns. Gone are the days of rigid school bells used to signal your child's next action. If a child is enjoying what he or she is focused on, there's no one forcing the learner to stop. Passion leads and if a child is engrossed in a learning activity, he or she continues uninterrupted. Upon arrival, children greet each other with eye-to-eye, firm handshakes, and a heartfelt "good morning". They will be united by the pledge of allegiance and prayer before we dive into our unique buckets of time.

Real Physical Exercise

We are committed to mental and physical health. We know that daily movement and exercise lays the foundation for both. Get those jitters out with movement so the learners' minds are ready to engage. We've partnered with Physiology First for daily exercise to strengthen the body and mind while establishing healthy habits.

Socratic Discussions

Speech, logic, and debate cultivates the ability to critically think and engage in civil discourse. Whatever has been on the mind of our learners will drive their guide's daily question for the learners to engage in meaningful discussions.

Core Curriculum

Our learners focus on mastery of the foundations of reading, writing, and math. If a learner is advanced in one area, he or she moves forward to ensure growth in that area, while working at a slower pace for subjects that haven't been mastered. We do not follow arbitrary, one size - fits all standards.

Financial and Nutritional Literacy

Learners will l the attain the skills needed to be financially successful. We've all heard the joke "I am so glad I learned about parallelograms, it has come in handy this parallelogram season." It is funny because it is true. Our hero's will learn to navigate taxes, banking, and so much more. We will also focus on nutritional literacy. Our culture is so devoid of nutrition and healthy habits. We are turning that on its head by having the children plan out the weeks snacks and they will prepare them for each other. We will also read food labels and learn what healthy eating habits look like.

Hands-On Passion Projects

Each learner can choose weekly (or longer) projects of subjects that matter to them. Whether it's robotics, coding, chemistry, sports, baking, arts, music, business, history, or so much more, they remember what they learn because it's important to them. Through reading, writing and presenting what they are working on, they naturally perfect their core curriculum.

Hands-On Group Projects

Learn to work together with 4-5 week long projects where they will have hands-on topics that exposes them to new subjects. Older students solidify their knowledge and leadership skills while helping younger students. Each child has a part to play in creating!
